The origins of 420 date back to 1971 when a group of five students from San Rafael High School used it as a code (4:20 PM) to gather after football practice to relax and enjoy some Weed. You can imagine the students passing each other in the halls saying “420” to their friends — friends who were IN on the secret — right under the noses of teachers and administrators, who had no idea what was being discussed.
Over the years, cannabis enthusiasts have transformed this time reference into a calendar date, and today, April 20th is recognized worldwide as a day to celebrate the wonders of weed. Celebrate 420 with Kush Alley Dispensary
We are planning a pair of terrific events to Kick off 420 this year and invite everyone* to join us at the Kush Alley Dispensary, located at 16733 Schoenborn Street, North Hills, CA 91343. Because Easter Sunday falls on April 20 this year, we are celebrating for TWO DAYS, Saturday April 19 (with food, discounts, giveaways and other fun stuff) and Sunday April 20 (with discounts and giveaways).
Pre-Party on Saturday, April 19, 2025, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
We kick things off with a Pre-Party on Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. During the event, we’ll be offering a 40% discount on many of the premium cannabis products for which Kush Alley is known. On top of the discounts, the first 100 people who spend $100 after taxes and discounts will get a bonus goody bag. What will a goody bag contain? It will spoil the surprise if we tell you, but each one will be a little different and will contain things we think you’ll appreciate, like swag, papers, gummies, edibles, vapes, and more.
Finally, since the munchies have become an integral part of any 420 celebration, Kush Alley plans a scrumptious spread of mini-pancakes and premium coffee to satisfy your sweet tooth and caffeine cravings. We’ll be playing music from our Kush Alley-curated playlist to set the mood, and vendors will have displays.
Party on Sunday, April 20, 2025, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
The 420 celebration at Kush Alley continues on the “official” date when we open the doors at 11:00 AM. The 40% discounts will continue, music will play, our vendors will be there, and goody bags will be given to the first 100 people who spend $100 after taxes and discounts. Come and enjoy the festivities until 7:00 PM.
*The Legal Stuff
Everyone who attends must be at least 21 years old or have a valid Medical Marijuana Card to enter the events. No other people are allowed to enter, even with an adult. We’ll check your identification before letting you in.
State law also prohibits cannabis consumption (smoking, vaping, or ingesting) in a dispensary or on its property. So you’ll need to wait until you get home to enjoy your 420 goodies.
